King Charles Rejects Prince Harry’s Call For Swift Action In Dispute Over Meghan Markle

Prince Harry knows what he wants, and he wants it now. The Duke of Sussex is hoping to reconcile with his father, King Charles III, and brother Prince William.

However, the wounds caused by his tell-all memoir Spare are still open for everyone to see. Moreover, the Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan is also not a distant memory.

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, had previously broken their bonds with the Royal Family through “Megxit” and a bombshell interview with TV icon Oprah Winfrey.

Despite all of this baggage and pain inflicted on the British royals, the renegade prince is having a hard time understanding why the Royal Family is not responding to his demand for an apology.

According to Prince Harry, the main reason behind the memoir was to expose the Royal Family to the errors of their ways. From that perspective, the royals should be thankful because Prince Harry is only trying to protect them from themselves.

However, on the other side, he is seen as a desperate man willing to sell off family secrets to the highest bidder in order to maintain his lavish lifestyle in California. The Monarch and the Prince of Wales are not really putting much of an offer on the table because they do not trust the Montecito resident.

The royals believe that Prince Harry is just looking for more material for his upcoming projects. They are not willing to give in to his demands. The standoff is angering the Duke, who is adamant that his wife deserves a heartfelt apology for the way she was treated when they were in England.

A source close to the father of two told Us Weekly: “No apology to Meghan has been made by the Palace, which frustrates Harry. Nor has he received a personal apology.”

A second insider claims that the Royal Family has some work to do for a truce to become a reality. The person said to the Daily Express: “At this point, the royals can only move forward and come to some form of truce with Harry if everyone sits down and talks through their issues privately. Despite everything that’s happened, Harry does want his family in his life.”

While King Charles wants to have his estranged son at the coronation ceremony in May, he is putting some clear distance between himself and his rebellious soul. He has even asked Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby to broker a truce between the two sides. Many observers find that this tactic lacks personal involvement.

Royal expert Ingrid Seward says a third party should not be involved in these exchanges because the feud is “a father-son thing” and should be treated as such. Moreover, for Seward, it makes a lot of sense to have Prince Harry at the coronation ceremony. She explained:

“The whole of Harry’s life, he’s known that his father is going to be King, and that’s colored his childhood and colored his life; of course, he has to be there. It would be unthinkable if he wasn’t and would create far more fuss if he wasn’t there.” Some royal supporters say that King Charles is too forgiving and that Prince Harry is the one who owes the British people an apology.
