Meghan Markle’s legal battle with half-sister may ‘knock’ Coronation ‘sideways’, says Queen’s press secretary

The King’s upcoming coronation may suffer from Meghan Markle’s legal battle, according to The Queen’s press secretary Dickie Arbiter, via Daily Mail.

Between 1988 through 2000, Arbiter served as King Charles III’s and The Queen’s press secretary.

On the Mail Plus discussion show Palace Confidential, he described the legal dispute as “a kind of a minefield” and warned that it would “push the Coronation news sideways.”

Samantha Markle, the Duchess of Sussex’s half-sister, has accused her of defaming her in an effort to “cover up” her “false rags-to-riches” story. The two are now engaged in a legal dispute.

We really have to wait and see what the judge is going to rule on. It’s kind of like walking through a minefield that has only been partially cleared,” he said.

The outlet claims that on February 15, 2023, Samantha, 58, appeared in virtual court with her attorney for the defamation case.

Meghan “was caught,” according to her attorney, who then publicly “shut her sister down” after threatening to expose her.

The claims were deemed “inappropriate” and “offensive” by Markle’s attorneys, who also sought that the case be dismissed due to its “fatal faults.”
