It’s never fun when parents interfere in their children’s relationships, but one mother has gone much too far. Chantel, a TikTok creator, claimed that when she was a teen, her boyfriend’s mother interfered to make an unusual request.
They were eating supper together when they talked about his upcoming eighteenth birthday and his plans to celebrate at the nearby clubs. Chantel said that they all reside in Australia, where the drinking age is 18, and that she couldn’t join him since she was just 15 at the time. “I’m cool with it,” she said, adding, “Go have a great time.”
“He and his mom had clearly discussed this before because they were on the same page and they were like, ‘Well, he wants to have like the entire club experience,'” she continued. ‘What’s the entire club experience?’ I wondered. ‘Yeah, to be able to hook up with girls and take girls home,’ they say.”
“What do you mean?” Chantel answered, confused. “Um, you have a girlfriend?” he asks, adding, “I thought he was breaking up with me right then and there with his mother and his mother’s boyfriend, right at dinner.” ‘Are you serious?’ I asked. ‘Is this how you’re going to do it?'”
But he wasn’t ending their relationship – “Thank God, right?” she laughed – “He simply wanted my permission to cheat on me at the clubs.” ‘No, I’m not genuinely OK with that,’ I said. And he and his mother were confused, asking, ‘Are you serious?’ ‘Yeah, no, strangely enough, I am serious, I don’t want you to cheat on me in the clubs,’ I said.
However, this was not the end of the problem, and the mother-and-son team quickly sought to reach a solution. “Compromise: how about just for his birthday, just for his birthday, he may cheat on you at the clubs,” they allegedly urged her.
But, surprisingly, Chantel refused to budge, causing them to ask, “Are you serious? “Is this girl serious?” “They didn’t think I wasn’t cool with it,” she said emphatically.
According to the TikToker, their pleadings lasted throughout the night, and her boyfriend afterward scolded her for “embarrassing” him in front of his mother.
“I do want you to know he was already cheating on me, like a lot,” she wrote at the end of her account. “I don’t understand guys.” He continued to cheat on me after this, so I’m not sure why he was so insistent on getting my consent concerning the clubs.
Her two videos detailing the amazing meeting have got over 1.9 million views and 360,000 likes on the platform, as commenters rushed to join in.
