Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise‘s daughter Bella may have grown up in the glare of the Hollywood spotlight but having A-list celebrities as parents didn’t sway her towards a life like theirs.
The 29-year-old is fiercely independent and left America to live in the UK where she has lived for years with her husband, Max Parker.
While both her parents – who adopted her and her brother, Connor, but went on to get divorced – have sprawling, multi-million dollar homes around the globe, Bella is believed to reside in a three-bedroom house in South London.
According to The Sun, they keep themselves to themselves and although they don’t have any children yet, they are proud owners of a pet lizard.
Instead of stepping into a career in acting, where she certainly would have got a foot up from her parents, she opted to become an artist.
She rarely posts anything on social media which isn’t related to her artwork but occasionally gives a glimpse into her personal life.
There’s no out-pouring of PDA-packed photos with her husband, like one would often expect from celebrities or their offspring, but Bella and Max have been happily married since 2015.
When they tied the knot, Max’s mom told the Daily Mail: “The pair of them are lovely, I’m very pleased for them both and they’re very happy.”
While there were reports that both Bella and Connor were estranged from their mother due to their involvement in Scientology, the actress has dismissed any rift with her children.
“Motherhood is about the journey,” she told The Sun in 2019. “There are going to be incredible peaks and valleys, whether you are an adopting mother or a birth mother. What a child needs is love.”
Nicole added: “They have made choices to be Scientologists. It’s our job as a parent to always offer unconditional love.”
Bella rarely opens up about her famous mom and dad but when asked if she still speaks to her parents she told New Idea in 2016: “Of course we talk, they’re my parents.”
