Baby Archie birthday pictures: Have Meghan Markle and Harry shared new Archie photo?

Meghan Markle, 38, and Prince Harry, 37, are spending lockdown in Los Angeles having relocated to the USA from Canada in March. While the young family are expected to celebrate Archie’s first birthday in private fans are hopeful they will share a new photo of him to mark the special milestone.

Have Meghan Markle and Harry shared a new photo of Archie?

Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor was born on May 6, 2019.

While Meghan and Harry stepped down from their royal roles at the end of March, there is still huge interest in the couple and fans are desperate to know how their son Archie is getting on.

A Sussex spokesperson told the Sunday Times fans of the young family can “expect to see” Archie on his birthday but it has not been confirmed when or in what format this might happen.

As the UK is eight hours ahead of Los Angeles, British fans may have to wait a few hours to see a new photo of little Archie.

They had not shared a new photo at 8 am (BST).

They haven’t shared a new picture of Archie since New Year when they shared an adorable snap of him being cuddled by Harry in front of a stunning lake in Canada.

How will Meghan and Harry share a new Archie photo?

Meghan and Harry wound down their Sussex Royal Instagram account ahead of their withdrawal and bid farewell to their 11 million followers in March.

While the couple will no longer use their Sussex Royal Instagram as they cease to be working royals, there is speculation they could launch a new social media profile on Archie’s birthday.

Meghan and Harry’s new humanitarian venture is called Archewell and has strong ties to their son’s name.

The social media savvy couple may have decided  Archie’s first birthday is the perfect time to establish their new brand.

While it has not bee confirmed where they might share a new photo of their son, many expect it could be on social media.

Last month the subject of baby Archie’s birthday was discussed on ABC royal podcast the HeirPod.

While host Omid Scobie seemed to suggest the couple would let Archie’s big day go by quietly, another royal expert was hopeful fans might get an update.

Speaking to Omid CTV’s Laney Lui said: “Well Omid I definitely want to touch base again soon in fact maybe just about a month from now because we now know that Sussex Royal the Instagram account will be inactive, meaning that there will be no further updates from Harry and Meghan on that account.

“But in a month’s time is baby Archie’s first birthday and I think a lot of us were expecting that because they’ve given us Archie GIFs and little Archie drops in the past that that would be the account where we’d see some sort of Archie birthday wish for his big milestone.”

She added: “So now, like is Archie’s birthday just going to pass quietly? And no one is going to see any photo of him?”

“Or will some kind of new Sussex social media account be set up by then so that we can be like ‘oh hey Archie’s one’?

“I’m really really really curious about what is going to happen like by that date.”

Meghan and Harry are expected to mark Archie’s birthday at home in Los Angeles as just the three of them.
