Meghan and Prince Harry have delighted their fans by sharing an exclusive video featuring little Archie and the Duchess of Sussex. In the video, Archie is sitting on Meghan’s lap while she reads a book for him.
The little Sussex tries to get hold of the book while his mother flicks through the pages of ‘Duck! Rabbit!’
Archie smiles and laughs while Meghan reads out loud the words on the page and helps his mother turning them over.
Prince Harry, who stood behind the camera, can also be heard laughing as his son plays with the book.
A Sussex spokesperson said: “As they celebrate this family moment, the Duke and Duchess wanted to continue to raise awareness around the urgency of bringing food and learning resources to millions of children.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who relocated to Los Angeles in late March, had previously teased royal fans by letting them know they would “see” Archie on his birthday.
Speaking to The Sunday Times in late April, a spokesperson for the Sussexes said: “You can expect to see him”.
Archie was born in the early morning of May 6 2019 at the Portland Hospital in London.
After confirming he was a boy and that both him and Meghan were well on Instagram, Prince Harry stepped out Frogmore Cottage to briefly speak to the press.
Royal fans had a first glimpse of the baby two days later, when Meghan and Harry held a photo call with a restricted number of photographers at Windsor Castle.
Meghan and Harry have been careful in protecting the privacy of their son.
In July, they didn’t invite any member of the press to the christening of Archie and maintained the identity of his godparents a secret.
