Fans of Kate have lashed out at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry over their recent visit to a preschool in Los Angeles, where the pair helped children replant the school’s learning garden. The social media users have accused the couple of “copying” the Duchess of Cambridge, after she recently carried out a similar royal engagement where she helped a charity with gardening.
Meghan and Harry visited the Preschool Learning Centre on Monday, where the pair helped dig and water plant beds and educate the children on nature and healthy eating.
Pictures from the visit show the Duke and Duchess of Sussex getting their hands dirty as they help revamp the garden.
One photo shows Meghan raising her hands, which are covered in soil, as a young boy helps water the plants.
But social media users have reacted furiously to the visit, and accused Meghan of imitating Kate’s recent gardening ventures.
One person wrote: “Yup, copycat Duchess of Sussex in one of her staged acts of charity.”
Another agreed, and said: “Seeing a pattern emerging here… Meghan is so see through.
“Catherine is genuine and classy, Harry and Meghan do this for publicity.”
A third fumed: “Is there absolutely nothing this woman will not copy from Catherine.”

One user wasn’t sure if the visit was genuine or a PR move.
They wrote: “If MM & Harry are truly helping & promoting causes, then Kate should view it as the sincerest form of flattery that MM tries to emulate her.
“But if it is just for publicity for themselves & to try & overshadow Kate, then the world will see through them.”

But some royal fans defended the the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who planted Princess Diana’s favourite flower, forget-me-nots, to mark the 23rd anniversary of her death.
One person said: “Very sweet & I love how Meghan is following in Kate’s footsteps with how important nature is for children.
“The forget-me-nots are a lovely gesture – I remember when Kate planted them at the Chelsea flower show last year in memory of Diana everyone was very touched as well.”
Another user wrote: “Oh sorry, I guess we all missed the part where Kate was declared supreme ruler of all things gardening.”
In June, the Duchess of Cambridge visited a children’s hospice and helped plant flowers and herbs for a new sensory garden.
Kate is also a keen gardener and helped co-design a space at the Chelsea Flower Show last year.
Her work, titled Back To Nature, was an initiative to encourage children to get outdoors and enjoy nature to boost their mental health.
