Eugenie announced the news via an Instagram post featuring some baby slippers, ahead of her second wedding anniversary to Jack Brooksbank. She was spotted with her baby bump as she stepped out in London’s Notting Hill neighbourhood.
The royal wore a silky green dress by ME+EM, cut in a swing shape.
The dress is made from luxury silk georgette and features frilly cuffs.
It also includes some gold buttons and discreet pockets on either side.
Eugenie and Jack revealed the news they were expecting on Instagram on Friday.
On her shared two photographs and wrote: “Jack and I are so excited for early 2021…”
The first snap showed Eugenie and Jack’s hands holding up a pair of John Lewis bear slippers.
The second shot shows the happy couple smiling towards the camera.
The popular post has racked up almost 400,000 likes in less than a day since its publication.
Thousands of well-wishers left the couple messages congratulating them for the news.
In the posts’ comment section, one user wrote: “Well that’s almost the best news of 2020.
“Well done for giving us some joy. Congrats guys.”

A third Instagram user wrote: “Wishing you all the best, a happy and healthy pregnancy!
“Congratulations to you and Jack!”
Another user added: “I’m so happy for you two.
“I wish you all the joy and happiness in the world. So sweet.”
Eugenie and Jack’s child will be the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh’s ninth great-grandchild.
The baby will be 11th in line to the throne, and while Eugenie is a princess, the baby will be plain Master or Miss Brooksbank.
