Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge is known to be incredibly close with her younger sister, Pippa Middleton. The pair have been spotted hanging out together on several occasions despite the Duchess’s busy royal schedule. And a recent report highlighted how young Pippa played a pivotal role in helping sister Kate adapt to a very “difficult” separation when they were younger.
Online magazine The Talko said: “It’s no secret that Kate and Pippa Middleton are extremely close.
“The Duchess of Cambridge even went against tradition by having her adult sibling in her bridal party.
“Kate is only about a year and a half older than Pippa so they had a special connection even within their already close family.
“When Kate asked to attend the boarding school St Andrews Prep, Pippa wasn’t far behind her.”

The magazine continued: “Adjusting to life away from home was difficult, and these siblings often leaned on one another for support.
“They were in the same Brownie troop, played sports and learned to play the piano and the flute.”
Kate was enrolled at St Andrew’s Prep after her family returned from Amman in 1986 and later boarded part-weekly at the Berkshire school with Pippa.
The Duchess of Cambridge went on to board at Marlborough College in Wiltshire before moving to Scotland to attend St Andrews University, where she met her future husband, Prince William.

While she followed her older sister through most of their education, Pippa later attended the University of Edinburgh.
And the youngest Middleton is reported to later have helped Kate and Prince William rekindle their relationship after a short separation following their graduation.
Pippa joined Kate at their parents’ Chelsea flat in a bid to help her sister get her spirits back after her break up with William.
The sisters hit the town and were often photographed partying out and about in London, with Kate regularly snapped wearing risqué outfits that she never wore while dating William.

The photos of the two party-going sisters seemed to have an effect on the love-torn prince, as by July 2007 he was back together with Kate.
Kate and William did not immediately become engaged but the eldest Middleton became increasingly engaged in royal life.
The royal later popped the question during a brief holiday in Kenya in 2010 and later tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Westminster Abbey the following year.
The pair have since welcomed three children, Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 5, and Prince Louis, who just turned two last week.
