Eamonn Holmes stunned Amanda Holden by making a dig about her singing on This Morning today.
The telly presenter interviewed the Britain’s Got Talent judge about her new charity single, a cover of Over the Rainbow which is being released to raise funds for NHS Charities.
During the chat, Eamonn, 60, admitted he was wary about her decision to swap reality TV for singing – and was surprised when he found out she could actually carry a tune.
He told her: “I have to say it was very brave of you to [tackle a song] associated with Judy Garland and Eva Cassidy…
“I was so surprised that you have a beautiful voice!”
Amanda, 49, appeared taken aback by his comments, but insisted she was pleased Eamonn actually liked her single.
She said: “I like surprising people. I’m thrilled you like it. It’s a really nerve-wracking thing -especially being a judge on Britain’s Got Talent and now I’m being judged.”
Eamonn went on to make another dig at Amanda by calling her “bonkers”.
He asked her: “What are you like to like with? You’re a lovely woman, but I sort of think is she slightly bonkers.”
Amanda replied: “I’m nice enough. It’s a terribly difficult time for everyone, it’s different for everyone.”
She went on to describe her lockdown experience, insisting she’s happy to have been able to spend time with her family.
Amanda went on: “I’ve enjoyed being with my man being with my girls, enjoying the downtime.
“I’ve really relished being a wife and a mummy, I’ve been cooking from scratch.
“I’ve really appreciated everything. I have time to stop and smell the roses, and remember what’s really important.”
Amanda’s single is available to stream and download now.
