Princess Beatrice’s new step-son played important role in secret royal wedding

Princess Beatrice’s new step-son played an important role in her royal wedding, it has been reported.

The Queen’s granddaughter married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in Windsor at a secret ceremony in Windsor on Friday morning.

The full guestlist hasn’t been revealed, however we know that the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Andrew and Edo’s son Christopher were there.

And four-year-old Christopher played a special role in his dad’s big day, which has been described as “intimate” with just 20 guests.

A source close to the family told Town & Country : “Wolfie was there, and played an important role in the wedding.”

Edo shares Wolfie with his ex girlfriend, architect and designer Dara Huang.

The couple have remained good friends since their split, and after the engagement was announced Dara told the Daily Mail: “I wish the best for Edo and Beatrice and look forward to uniting our families.”

Edo and Beatrice are family friends and have been close for years, but romance finally blossomed in autumn 2018.

The millionaire property developer popped the question with a stunning diamond engagement ring when the couple were in holiday in Italy.

They planned to marry in London in May, with the reception booked to take place at Buckingham Palace, but the arrangements had to be cancelled due to Covid-19.

The smaller ceremony took place in line with all government guidelines.

One of Beatrice’s friends told The Sun : “They were obviously very keen for the Queen to come so the wedding had to happen before she goes up to Balmoral so this was a great opportunity.

“So many guests were disappointed not to make the big day but understood the reason for it.
