Meghan and Harry were pictured using a gas-guzzling Cadillac after urging people to convert to a more eco-friendly lifestyle.
The couple, who quit the royal family for a life in America, were pictured in Beverly Hills after reportedly visiting the dermatologist.
They were seen heading back to their Cadillac escort – an SUV known for it’s gas-guzzling qualities.
Many social media users were quick to point out how the couple don’t seem to be living up to their own standards when it comes to clean living.
Twitter user with the nickname Baroness Bruck started a conversation publishing one of the paparazzi snaps showing Meghan and Prince Harry nearing the Cadillac SUV.
She wrote: “Remember that cco speech where Harry told us ‘every drop counts!’…???
“I wonder how many miles per gallon does this Cadillac Escalade give…??”
Baroness Bruck was possibly referring to the speech delivered by Prince Harry last September year as he launched his eco-tourism project Travalyst.
Harry said: “These human-caused challenges often need a giant system shift to make a significant enough impact.
“And that is what this partnership is here to try and do.
“But just because it is such a massive undertaking, doesn’t mean we can’t all play our part.
“Sometimes the scale of the conservation crisis feels overwhelming and that individual actions can’t make a difference.
“I’ve certainly felt that – but I’ve learned that we cannot dismiss the idea of trying to do something, just because we can’t do everything.
“We can all do better. And while no one is perfect we are all responsible for our own individual impact; the question is what we do to balance it out.”
Others agreed, with MaryLou Jones wrote, referring to the question of how many gallon per miles the SUV could do: “Maybe 10 mpg… so eco friendly if them not to practice what they preach.”
And Fioravanti wrote: “Do as I say, not as I do.
“Silly you for thinking he was going to lead by example.
“These two woke jokes can’t even open their own car doors and they’ve just spanked us all for not acknowledging our privilege.”
Last year, Meghan and Harry were slammed for using four private jets within just a couple of weeks to fly first to Ibiza and then to Nice for private holidays.
