The insider concludes, “Tom is riding the crest of a wave… while Brad has become something of a stressed out recluse.”
Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise have beef?
What a strange story. Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise have no beef. Pitt absolutely hated working on Interview with the Vampire, but it had nothing to do with Cruise. He said Weekly entertainment“Six months in the f—ing dark. Contact lenses, make-up, I’m playing the part of the bitch…” He even tried to get out of the film, asking David Geffen what it would cost: “He says, very calmly , ‘Forty million dollars’”.
The finished product shows. Cruise is having a good time as Lestat and Pitt look exhausted. Anyway, that’s ancient history now. We are approaching the 30th anniversary of Interview with the Vampire and Pitt and Cruise went in radically different directions. Cruise got into action movies years ago, and the success of both Top Gun: Maverick and Impossible mission prove that it was a lucrative decision.
To call Pitt a failure because he didn’t have such a big following is just plain nonsense. He just won an Oscar for Once upon a time in Hollywood. It’s his second Oscar after Cruise’s, not to mention the fact that he’s produced arthouse darlings like Moonlight and minari. If Cruise wants the title of king of the action movie, he would feud more with Dwayne Johnson or Vin Diesel than Pitt. It must be nice for Cruise to get that lap of honor, but it doesn’t have to come at the expense of anyone else.

The Applicant likes to invent dramas for people who get along well. In 2018, he announced that Burt Reynolds was feuding with Ariel Winter. She only had nice things to say about him when he died, so it was wrong. We’ve also debunked his claims of a feud between Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie, as the two are friends.
He also tried to start a war between Michael Strahan and Robin Roberts. There was no truth to any of these rivalries, just like there is no rivalry between Cruise and Pitt. It’s fun to compare their careers, but that doesn’t mean they hate each other.
